The other day I saw a new BTB Ibanez 5 string at the local Daddy's Junky Music. Apparently, it is a limited edition one out of 65 in the country. The strings were roundwound but they had a blue wire wrapped in the string. Does anyone know what that's all about? I didn't get to play it amplified, so I don't know what they sound like.
Just curious.

Well, all BTB's come with those wierd Ibanez strings. Someone (Im thinking Dave Siff, but not sure) said they played them and hated them, but i found them to be just like regular steel roundwounds. They have no advantage due to color, its just an attention getting thing, and you cant buy them from Ibanez. Thats all.
