Any recommendations for flatwound strings for a 35" 5 string?
I know the guitar I am interested in ( Schecter Diamond Custom P-5 ) can be top, or, through loaded but I would rather not waste time & money ordering and getting strings that don't fit well. I already know I don't care for the strings the guitar comes with, I want flats.. I looked on the "Just Strings" site and it appears to me that fender does not have them and I am just not sure about the others by discriptions.
Thanks for any help offered.
Richard

I personally use Chromes on one 5(34'') and Labella Deep Talkin Flats on a Schecter 5(35''). I was going to put Chromes on the Schecter, but apparently you need super long scale for 35 with Chromes, because the silks were about halfway into the first fret.

There's a lot of debate on what strings are the best. GHS/Daddario are fairly well priced, as opposed to a new set of labellas almost running 80 bucks.

Extra long Chromes, or extra long TI flats will both fit, and go through the body if you want.

Thanks so much for the replys and I will look through not just Just Strings but try other outlets.
Not wanting to show too much ignorance, but, will the strings pkg's I need be clearly labeled super long or extra long or some marking that I will have confidence that they wil fit.

Some have the factory designed artwork printed with "Extra Long" or other specific scale information.

Some put a sticker on the package.

Some have a stamp.

It all depends on the manufacturer... And also trust in the company you purchase with to get you exactly what you want!
