DR lo-rider nickels last me for months, I play for 5 or 6 hours at least per day too.
I've just started to use Prosteels, they seem to last really well too.

I've always found Ken Smith strings to be fairly durable. I prefer the sound of MTD's, but the Smith's do seem to last longer.

I haven't tried a six-string set, but DR Fat Beams are very durable on my fiver-string Sadowsky.

try some from www.circlekstrings.com

I haven't yet (waiting on a High B string for my 7)... but they are intended to last a long while.

I always found the D'Addario Nickels to stay fresh for awhile and it doesn't hurt that they are much cheaper than most brands.

Well take this as you may - as you may know I like old strings. But that may be because I've found that I don't have the kind of acidic sweat that kills strings that some people do.

Anyway, my favorite six string sets are LaBella Deep talkin' nylon tapewounds and Fender "Super Bass" nickelplated steel roundwounds. The Fenders settle down instantly and last forever. The LaBella DTB nylons take a long time to settle in but also last forever.
