What bass string should I get?

Hey. My bass string popped when i decided to tune up with a messed up tuner right before a big show. I had to use somebody elses bass and now I need new strings.

I currently have a Peavey Milestone Bass, and I wanted your opinion on what kind of sting i should get.I want something that feels good and is sturdy so I don't have to change them again.(if you know what I mean)
