Which strings do you use for your Fender American Jazz V and how do you string it, through body or bridge?

I'm curious to know what others are using....thanks

Nickels, I like DA XL 170-5 strung through bridge.

Steels, I like DR High 45-125 strung through body, just because they are long enough.

If I had one it'd probably be Circle K. Other than that, DR.

Back when I had a Jazz V I used either Dean Markley Blue Steels or DR Lo-Riders... both strung through body.

I believe Circle K's taper si too short for stringing through body..

What about the DR's? Longnecks or will the others string through body ok?

All of the DR's will fit. No need for Longnecks unless you prefer the taper.

It is but they work great through the bridge. I am a huge fan of the .130 Balanced Set on my 2008 P5.

I use the stock Fenders on my 2008 Jazz V. Fender has switched to a new formulation, but I have a couple of the old sets, which will last a good while. When those run out, I'll go with DR Lo-Riders or Extra Life. I love the nickel Lo-Riders on my G&L JB, so I bet they'd rock on the Jazz V.
