What do you think about Pyramid nickels?

I've heard that they're amazing and also have great duration.
I'm thinking to put them on my Fender P-bass but first i would like to read some opinions about them

Recenty put on a set of Pyramid Gold on a G&L L1000 and am very pleased.
They have low tension and a very vintage tube like sound.
Very sticky when they are new. Be prepared.

the sticky wears off, then they're like glass. also, they may be low tension, but they're still taught.. not floppy at all. pyramids are def. my favorite string... they're just so awesome. be warned though the E string is much bigger than the rest of the set (especially the long scale set.. where i think it drops from a 105 E to a 75 A!), which may seem weird at first but you get great thud.

Other than playing the stickiness off-is there any way to hasten the process?

I use the short scales on my Hofners and love them. Never tried their 34" scale set... would like to some day. Too happy with the TI flats to change though.

I love the Pyramid Golds on my short scale Gibson. Very expensive though, but worth it!

I don't find them sticky at all. I loosened off the strings and lemon-oiled my fretboard for the first time last night, and then wiped the strings down because some of the oil got on them... now they're like greased lightning!
