What do you think of DR Lo riders?

I just ordered a set of DR Lo riders strings in medium gauge on MF with some giftcard money. I saw a thread that was bashing them and just wanted to know if I made a good choice.

I'll be playing rock with them and am hoping for them to retain a punchy tone for a long time. I play mostly finger style but on occasion I use a pick for fun.

What do you think of Lo riders? If Lo riders aren't your thing what DR string is?

IMHO these strings kick *ss, I also play mostly finger style heavy rock and they are my favorite.

I put a set on my SR5 last December and I really like them. I think they sound great, but then againI tend to like stainless steel strings once they've lost their brand-new-string zing.

Ray, I hope you're not referring to the thread I started! If you were, I wasn't bashing, just sharing my views on a new set I'd decided to try for the first time.

Six weeks in, I'm really liking these strings. Break-in has mellowed them very nicely and I'm digging the sound on my p/j more and more every time I play it. I'll agree with the other posters, you made a good choice.

DR makes a great string. I used at one time or another their stainless Hi Beams and the Lo riders. I always been happy with them. I just recently went to Ernie Ball Super Slinky nickle strings to save the frets on my Bongo.

I used to love them until I discovered DM Will Lee sigs about 6 months ago. They are still very good strings. Nice tone & long life. The Will Lee strings IMO are all that x10.

I was! I guess I was just seeing the people who don't like them, I'm feeling better about my purchase now. Thanks for the reply.

Great and lively strings, though strangely enough a bit too middy for me after getting used to Elixirs. Kind of coarse too!

Trying them for the first time on my Ibanez MC888 and so far they seem quite nice. Replaced the D'Addario nickels with Lo Rider nickels to try.
