Not a bad price, they are normally $9 a set with free shipping at stringsandbeyond.com so you saved a few bucks.

Marton is right though, they will be very floppy.

i have a pair of these on my bass now and i do agree that the E string is floppy but every other string sounds amazing.. do you think 110 should be acceptable for that E string? i can buy a 6 single set of 110 for $30

No, $18 for TWO sets...buy one, get one free. They have them on sale every so often, one just recently ended.

Okay so you tune drop B (BF#BE) and drop Bb. I agree that the 45 65 and 85 work fine for the F#BE. If you buy singles i recommend choosing a gauge that matches the tension of the 85 F#, it needs to be a lot thicker than 105 or 110 since the bottom interval in your tuning is now a fifth. Looking at the D'Addario tension chart for nickelplated roundwounds http://www.daddario.com/upload/tension_chart_13934.pdf you actually need a 130. The 130 B and 85 F# will have the same tension of 34.5 pounds. A 125 will also work and not be excessively floppy in drop B but will start to lose it's good tone in drop Bb

okay cool dude. if i get 125, will i loose that twang punch tone ? will it sound excessively bassy or will it still have a nice treble to it

Depends on the string and the inherent flexibility, 3 layers of wrapwire is more flexible. Are Dunlop Bs very flexible?
The 125 will be very roughly 30 pounds tension, extra light.

I wasn't a fan of Dunlop strings, but I can tell you that a .125-.135 B will invariably sound much better than .105 or .110 tuned to B.
