Yes. Just a little slicker feeling (slight) and a little less zing when new (also slight) but they sound new a little longer. I moved my set from my Hanewinckle Jazz to my P5 after about a month. I think they are a perfect match for the P5, especially now that they are broken in. I am not sure how long they will sound good, but they seem promising for now - especially for the price.

Geez, I would never have thought a post about strings would have generated this much noise!

Well I had our percussion guy that works at our school order some elixars because after some more digging on youtube I think I like the sound better. Im not sure if he owns a store or something but he says he will have to charge like 60 bucks which I find as way to much but Im not complaining as its the schools money.

D'Addario Half Rounds!

I'd be checkin' out some D'Addario Half Rounds. I LOVE these strings! You can get very acceptable old school thump AND you can slap on them, too.

Do they sound like SS rounds when you slap on them? Nope! There is some compromise. But they're still very versatile strings; they do a lot of things well.

Honourable mention to GHS Brite Flats.

Any string can be a "do it all string". A roundwound moreso.... so any roundwound can do anything. Its up to YOU to make it "do it all".
