what is heavy guage for a c string?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking to buy heavy guage strings for my five string which I tune with a high c. the set is 110 90 75 55. because it's a lot bigger that what I had before I though maybe I could use a .45 g string to tune a c but I'll just say it didn't end well. I think standard c guage is .32 but what should I get for a heavy guage c?

lol it didn't hit my eye. it didn't actually snap off completely it just got really torn up and unuseable. My only regret is not putting on the old one first. I used the week old one on my six string. ok I now know that smaller size differences matter when the tuning gets higher.
