What kind of string brand is this?

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a quite desperate attempt to find out what kind of string brand this is! I was using these strings on a bass I bought a while a go. Unfortunatly I didn`t ask what kind of strings the seller had put on it.anyway They where fantastic I love their feel and tone, but now theyre dead and I looking for some new ones. And I want the same strings.
to give you an idea, here is a photo the E string(It is a little bit blurry)
But the strings have a distinct design feature:at the ball end, the top and bottom end are a bit rounded as you could see in the pic(or get the impression) and there is a red silk wrap in both ends of the strings.
Ideas anyone? really appreciate if someone could help out here.and they where a 6 string set.

Because of the red stuff at the top, I'm gonna say that they're Rotosound or GHS Bass Boomers. They're probably the GHS since you said they have a smooth feel, which is a characteristic of nickel strings, which GHS are. Stainless steel strings, which Rotosounds are, have a rougher feel. So they're probably GHS Bass Boomers, imo.

Yes,that was my thought too I guess I just head down to my local string supplier and go for the Boomers,Ive used Progressives in the past on some other basses so if they are GHS, perfect thanx a lot.
