What kind of string should i be using?

i want a kind of bloc party, interpol esque sound and use a p bass.

rounds or flats?
brand?

at the moment i use ernie ball hybrid slinkys which are 45-105 they sounded pretty good but i think its time for a change.

La Bella deep talkin' flats. I'm pretty sure the dude from interpol uses flats, at least on their first album. All that thump makes me think he's using a pick with some flats on that jazz bass he plays. You can get a similar tone w/ flats on a pbass though, close enough for horse shoes and hand grenades at least.

in those days he was using ghs boomers i believe. he gets that tone youre talking about by picking up near the neck and he tunes to drop-d.
