What's your pleasure?

Strings that is, I love pure nickel round wounds, and nickel plated round wounds. Whats yours?

EDIT BY JASONBRAATZ:

Post what kinds of string you use, what bass you use them on, and your thoughts on the sound.

So far, I'm totally diggin' TI Jazz Rounds. Bought them very slightly used from a TalkBasser. Didn't like the B and got a new one from the Dude. The new B sounds great.

every bass sounds different depending on the strings you put on it....

For my tastes....I find that some basses react better to certain kinds of string.

Ex. GHS on my jazz basses
Ernieball on "other basses"

D'Adarrio on my 12 string Hamers

Labella Supersteps on my 5's

and so on........

Now I feel better.

So I vote roundwounds - I use DR Hi-Beams on my F Bass BN6 and BNF4, LaBella Supersteps on my F Bass Studio, and DR Marcus Miller Fatbeams on my MIA Jazz V.

I'm using rounds on a fretless.

They give more edge, more growl for playing funk and the like - they also give nice mwah.

i use DR lo-riders (stainless) on my SS2, and DR hi-beams on my fretless thumb 6.

these are the growliest strings i've ever heard, and that's what i like. i like the hibeams flexibility on the fretless and the loriders stiffness on the fretted for good dig-in ability.
