What kind of strings give the best harmonic sound?

Sign in to disble this ad
does anyone with more experience than me know if one kind of string produces a much clearer harmonic sound than another? I play flats right now (i switched from rounds pretty quick, but I have no attachment really, just a decision that i made).

also does brand make a difference beyond just flat or round?

Fresh (as in not played for very long) rounds, bright ones like stainless work the best.

So Rotosounds, DR's, stainless D'Addarios...take your pick, most string makers make some kind of bright roundwound.
