I have used Elixir's on my 6 string Schecter...just wondering if i should do the same with the Jazz... |

If you like it on the Schecter you might like it on the Jazz, they are good strings.

Rotosounds have a lot of punch and growl, and they're really responsive to the nuances of your hands. |

I actually like the tone of Dean Markley Blue Steels a little better but they have a bunch of problems - 1) Cost a good bit more than Lo Riders 2) Hard for me to find locally 3) tear up my fingers (probably my frets too) and 4) they aren't long enough to string through body on a 35" bass. |

They have a clear and defined tone (piano like) and it's very easy to get a good growl sound out of them. If you turn down the tone, there very deep and smooth, and very well defined and precise. They also feel the best out of any string to me. |
