Can anyone confirm the make of these strings? I've been told they're probably D'Addario but I'd like to make sure before I pay for spares.

I can only say that those are not D'Addarios. They don't use that kind of winding at the headstock end. Never seen yellow silk before. They might be Dean Markley, GHS, Ken Smith. I'm sure someone will chime in.

Possibly Dean Markley...are they roundwounds? My Dean Markley SR2000's look like that.

My first guess would be Dean Markley/MTD. Any chance you can share a pic of the bridge?

They're not taper core and are roundwounds (which I should have stated).

Dean Markley I'd guess.

Nice Rick 4001 you have, except for the bridge, it looks to be around a ' 73 Azure-glo?

Any more pictures?

Thanks for the replies. Looks like the consensus is Fender.

I'm actually in the UK and it's a '73 4001 which has been restored by Paul Wilczynski.

Possibly Dean Markley 2000 serries strings. I used them for a while and they were pretty good.
