What is a reasonable price to ask for used strings?

I have at least a dozen sets of used strings. All high quality brands with plenty of life in them, and all 5-string sets. I'd like to sell them off, but don't know what people would be willing to pay. Thanks.

Not more than 50% of their current retail sales price. Not sure I would buy used strings - your market may be limited.

Personally I wouldn't pay much- maybe $3 plus postage per set.

I only consider selling these because I know that most of them have lots of life left in them. I went through a period of trying all kinds of different strings, so many of them are barely used. The ones I'm not sure about I'll probably just give away for the cost of postage.

If they are still 'good', you'd be better off giving them away to someone who needs them.

Good karma, etc.

Considering those strings, if they were already installed and cut, might not even fit instruments other than the one they came off of, probably not worth much. For instance, I can't interchange strings between my ESP and my Fenders, the "E" string taken from any of my Fenders is too short for my ESP, and the "D" and "G" string from my ESP is too short for my Fenders.

Thanks for all the comments. I will give most of them away for the cost of postage and a mailing envelope.

Used strings

I've always thought there should be a forum here for people to trade sets of used or new strings. I'm in the same boat-experimenting with lot of barely used strings-mostly 4's.
