what are the stock strings on the mustang reissues?

hey all, ive tried searching the forum, but couldnt find the info im looking for

i have a mustang bass, and am wondering what gauge the strings that came with it are, im assuming their fender strings, but i need to know the gauge sizes

Typically, a short scale bass will have a heavier gauge to make up for the lack of tension that comes with a short scale bass, but this seems to be the only short scale string set that Fender has listed. Looks like a medium gauge. On the same page is a "support" link. Send Fender an email. I remember playing an original 70's Mustang with tape-wound or nylon strings. That was a long time ago though.

Yes, they come with the Fender 40-95 short-scale set.
