I have a Spector Euro 4 LX that I am in the process of converting to to a BEAD stringed bass.
Took it in to get the nut slots widened for the bigger strings. I got the bass home and went to string up my Dean Markley Blue Steels and they don't fit in the bridge.
Let me clarify though.... The string fits but it gets bigger at the ball end and that doesn't fit. I'm guessing I need strings that are tapered at the ball end. Or are there strings that don't get wider or taper off?
I really don't know much about strings. I know I like Blue Steels and I know i'm not a fan of Ernie Ball Strings. I have used D'Addario XL Nickel Plated and GHS Bass Boomers in the past but I can't remember the physical characteristics of them. |
