What string to replace my old ones ????

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all

a couple of years ago I found the perfect string for my bass and me .

it was the Dean Markley SR 2000 40 - 100

It was the sustain, punch, lively harmonics and the feel of the strings that made them perfect for me.

But now they are stopping to make them ( or at least they stopped selling them at my local gear pusher ; )

so I'm looking for a replacement for them
so any idears out there ???

as always help is appreciated

Best wishes from

Christian

Hi Christian.

Thanks for your wonderful comments about SR2000!

We, Dean Markley Strings, are still making SR2000. The demand is so high, they are sometimes hard to find. RickenBoogie suggested a good source in JustStrings.com . According to your Profile, you use the ML gauge. That is the second item on this JustStrings page: http://tinyurl.com/lvp8ly . It is actually 46 - 102; we don't make 40 - 100.

Here is another source in Denmark, where you live: http://tinyurl.com/lvp8ly . I don't read Danish; I got that information here: http://tinyurl.com/kk3a5h .

Also, you can ask your local dealer to order them. If you are still not able to find the strings, please contact us http://www.deanmarkley.com/contact.shtml . We’ll see that you get them.

Enjoy,

Dennis

PS I enjoyed your YouTube video.
