Question What string sizes should i get?

Sign in to disble this ad
heres a hard one - i have a short scale bass that i am tuning to drop C. i like the strings a little loose coz i do alot of bending and its easier for slapping. my lowest string is a .130 and its just right - a little loose on my short scale. but i put the original low string on the 3rd string (didnt tune down to C hence the .130) and its a bit tight (dunno the gauge) also the 1st and 2nd strings are a tad too loose as they are also standard.

and in case your wondering, the short scale is a dream to play and ill never get a full scale bass again, i can hit the 1st and 6th frets at the same time and my hands are far from big... can YOU do that on your 34 incher?

XD anyway, any advice is appreciated and i love it even more if it was from someone with a short scale tuned to drop C... if there is another person on the planet with those circumstances

Don't have an answer to the string question, but I do have an answer to the "Can you do that on your 34 incher?" thing... yes... I do it on 36, actually.
