What strings come with CIJ Fenders out of the box?

Sign in to disble this ad
Just wondering what the gauge is on the strings of my Fender Jaguar. It'll help me decide what gauge of string I want to replace them with (prolly DR). Looking either the same or a bit firmer.

Cheers.

I think they are fender stainless steels. Black wrap right?

No wrap. Just the ones that came strung up to my bass. I think they are medium (?).

You can check fenders website. There is a good chance, if you bought it from a store, they no longer have the stock strings.

Wow I didn't know they listed the strings that come with the guitar, thanks. Are the DR Lo-Riders a little stiffer or about the same?

Cheers.

Depends. The nickel Lo-Riders are stiff. The steel ones are pretty supple. Stiffer than Hi-Beams, but not as stiff as the nickel Lo-Riders. You might want to try Fender 7150's Pure Nickel Rounds. They are warm after a week and the most percussive roundwound out there. No flop whatsoever.
