What strings do you recommend for a Streamer Stage II ?

I was originally thinking to put some DR Lo Riders to tame those sizzly highs. I`m also thinking about Elixir Nanowebs but wonder if they`ll get the growly Warwick sound.

Suggestions ?

I really liked DR hi beams on the SSII. Let them mellow for a while, then they're perfect.

That's exactly what I did when I had a SSII for a while

Did you use those strings to record your DMB / Jamiroquai samples ? I simply loved that tone.

BTW, IIRC you cut the mids a little bit, right ?

They`re my main strings to go (your former 5/2 works great with them) but I thought they`d be a bit too bright for the SSII.

Do you have a "dead" set from the Zon? If so, put them on the SSII. If not, you'll just have to deal with the zing for a while. Fresh hi-beams are good on the SSII as well, but you're right that its pretty brash. Thats just the kind of bass an SSII is though.

Maybe...I think so. I recorded one full track with that bass (and the Hi-Beams). You can hear it here:

On the song "Weep". Love that tone! I intend to get a 4-string SSII someday

I did cut the mids a bit. Helped even out the overly mid'y tone that the SSII naturally has. Gave it a thicker tone.
