Hey folks!

What strings do you use on your Peavey G-Bass and why do you like them?

Thanks!

Cool

I've used the following:

Peavey originals- okay but nothing special.
Elixirs (the first version)- smooth feel, good sound but the E string died prematurely.
D'Addario XL 170's- These work great on this bass. For me, the tension is about right, the feel is nickel-smooth, and the tone is bright but even and they have lasted well. On my Fender Jazz I didn't get the vibe but on the G it's a great match. I laugh when people say "brand X strings suck" and they've tried them on ONE bass. I own five basses at the moment and the strings I've tried include:
Fender, Gibson, GHS Brite Flats/Bassics/Boomers, Dean Markley, D'Aquisto, D'Addario, Elixir, Peavey Cirrus, Rotosound Rounds/Flats, DR...
Good Luck!
