What strings give the best upright sound

I play jazz and I want a more Upright bass sound, I know a lot of it is contributed by tone and playing style, but what strings (brand, make, type, etc... ) will help get that sound?

i use fresh rounds and pluck up on the fingerboard when going for an upright sound, with my passive tone turned down a bit, and the bridge pickup soloed. ive been told my main bass "out uprights an upright."

Rounds and the bridge pickup soloed? That sounds like the exact opposite of the conventional advice.

I'd recommend Thomastik-Infeld Flats.

Oh, and nothing sounds like an upright except an upright... (and, yes, I play both)
