could be either, you could get that with bright flats. Likely rounds though.

I'd say flats of some variety, or rounds with the tone knob rolled way back. Hard to tell without a closeup of headstock, or some specific defined tone to focus in on.

And you're going to get widely varied responses to this just because the definition of Flat tone and Roundwound tone is pretty wide depending on what brand of each type you play.

I'm saying flats, especially using a pick. I think cameramen have their pay docked for pointing the thing at the bassist.

Some say rounds, some say flats...half-rounds maybe? If not which strings could get a similar tone (brand, gauge etc.)?

given that he's using a pick and playing by the bridge...seems a little counter productive to go after that tone with rounds.
