What strings should i get and what have u heard about certain strings?

i play a 64 fender mustang with nickel rotosounds and i love it, but my question refers to my spector pro.

im currently using DR extra life strings and i like them better than any nickel or stainless steel strings on it. i love the mid it has but i want to kill all high end. i tried using a set of flatwounds (they were already on the bass so i dont know what set) and my fingers bled from playing them so ive stayed away from flatwounds since.

i heard about DR Neon and i might just play those no matter what they sound like. i also heard about la bella tape wounds and thought about those too but also thought about getting rotosound tru bass (paul mccartney used them on the abbey road album) and i love the sound of his bass on "I Want You(She's So Heavy)" and "You Never Give Me Your Money".

so any ideas on the strings i should get? i want an upright sound but includes the heavy mids that r already attached to my bass (SSD pickups),(but if it makes it really low mids ill be even happier then with just straight mids).

this is what im trying to get on my spector pro as far as bass sounds (yes i do play like that too). my Mustang sounds really close but it has too much brigtness when on the D and G strings (but i use it for funk so its not going to change).
