I put some 45-105 DR Black Beauties on my p/j the other day and I already greatly prefer them to Roto 66s of the same gauge. They have awesome warm, deep, and growly clean tone and also sound excellent with overdrive. ymmv of course

This makes me want to try pressurewound strings even more!

I'm working on a demo video for GHS of these strings that I'll hopefully have posted by the end of the week. I played some grooves on both sets (old and new) and A/B them in a way to hopefully make it apparent what they'll sound like as you play them.

I got some GHS Boomers a few weeks ago, I love the way they sound and feel. They're kind of like Rotosounds, but with more bottom end than mids.

Finished up the demo last night; here's the link. There are audio samples of the old, broken in set as well as the brand new set to hopefully give you an idea of how they age and wear.
