What strings to use?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,

Just got a new MIA Jazz 3 Tone Sunburst, the strings that came with the bass are a little taut, looking for a string that will give plenty of low end and decent mids with a little more playability, any suggestions would be great.

Thanks in advance

Have you ever used half rounds?- I have them on my precision & my MIM Jazz.
D'addario puts out a pretty good set for like $30.

I recently switched to GHS Pressurewounds. They sound like something between a roundwound and a flatwound; they're great on a Jazz.

Rotosound, DR, and GHS would get my vote for best strings to try.
