Question what strings would go well with my bass?

Right, its a squire p/j special.

just the standard bridge.

same pickups still in it.

i would like a string thats got consistent sound.

nothing like its really bright mids and way sharp highs, nothing like that.

nothing too 'grippy' (anyone tried rotosound steel swing bass will know what i mean) want them quite smooth.

either flats or rounds.

not really high tension as i i find it hard to pluck then, but dont want anyhting really flappy as every so often i dropD or tune down half a step on all strings.

i play with a pick and with fingers.

the pick is usually either a jim dunlop big stubby 2.0 or a jim dunlop tortex .73 if thats any help.

birght strings are nice IMO so mabey something reasonably bright, but nothing too bright.

oh and one last thing, not to expensive and must be available in the UK or online that ships to UK.

any ideas?

D'Addario Regular Light Guage 45,65,80,100's in Nickel or Steel.
The Steels are more chimey, the nickels more snappy until they break in then they are round, warm, and a bit more mellow. String to string consistency is excellent and they are easy to play. The steels are tight, bright, and punchy without being zingy and they stay that way.
