'What strings are you using' part 2

I would like to see a poll with string brands among roundwood strings, rather than string types. I don't really know which strings are most popular, but I'll put the ones I know. If there are other really popular strings, let me know and I'll add them.

-EDIT: Forgot them Ernie Ball strings. Bleh. :/ How can I edit the poll options? O_o

You are missing Dean Markley, Dunlop, Labella, Thomastik-Infield, Rotosound, Fodera, Ken Smith, Lakland.
There are more too like Elites.

I think it's better this thread is locked and a new one made with all the options. Not much choice here in my country, I haven't even heard about half these strings.

LaBella Hard Rockin Steels (stainless rounds) on most and Deep Talkin Bass Flats on one.

D'Addario Hybrids on the URB... but I'm looking to try something with lower tension next.

Lets see the Strings on my old Jazz have been there for about 15 years and I think they were Dean Markly Rounds.

My other Squire has a set that has been on there equally long - they are probably Ernie Balls.

All of the other Basses I have recently purchased have whatever came on them and I have no idea what they are - I know one set is coated?

I have a new Pack of EB Slinkys to put on my VM Modded Jazz.

I am going to pick up a set of Rotos and a Set of LaBella's soon just to check them out - worry less about your strings and more about your playing. As Maki would say My 2 Cents.

How does a Jazz bass sound with 15 years old strings? I would imagine a presicion bass would sound better with dead strings, but I don't think I ever heard a jazz with such. Sound sample?

Elixirs are all I use anymore. My hands sweat so much that I kill strings very quickly. I keep the elixirs on my basses for 6 months then swap them out for a new set even though they still sound great.

My favorite strings, in no particular order:

Sadowsky - any variety of rounds, currently using blue label steels
La Bella Hard Rockin' Steels
Ken Smith Tapercore Steels
Rotosound RS66
Elixir Nanowebs
DR Lo Rider steels

I've got:

Ibanez GSR200 - LTD Stock strings (unsure of what they are; good sound and feel)
Dean 5 Strings Acoustic - DR Acoustic strings (Thanks to bassd00d!)
Squier P Bass - DR Black Beauties
LTD B-4E - Elixir heavy gauge

I voted for Elixirs because I really like them. The LTD stock strings come in second. I don't care for the coated DRs as much anymore. I'm going to put a different set of DRs on my P bass tomorrow because I've got a show to play at. I was considering some D'Addarios, but it seems that the DRs are quite popular. I guess it will come down to whatever I can get my hands on.

--

I did a quick search and it seems as though they come with GHS Boomers. Does that sound correct? If so, I may consider getting another set of those after experimenting with other strings.
