What strings on your 2008 American Jazz?

I was just wondering what type of string you guys are using on your 2008 MIA Fender Jazz bass. I just got mine and need a few suggestions. I took the Fender strings off and put on a set of D'Addario Medium Bottom/Lights top nickels. They seem too stiff. I usually like these, but not on this bass. Any help would be appreciated.

I just put a set of DR Hi-Beams on my "08" Jazz. Like what I hear playin' here at the house. Can't wait to see what they do at rehearsal tonight.

I am really enjoying the stock Super Bass 8250's. Once the sizzle settled down, the warmth and strong fundamental opened up with good cut - just what you would expect from a good nickel string. Sits big and phat in the mix. Decent string feel/tension and seem to be easy on the frets. Could be a good choice for those that are looking for more of a flatwound sound but prefer the feel of rounds.

Compared to d'addario nickels, i find that the top end rolls off a bit sooner - bring up the treble a bit and the 8250's still cut but without the sizzle. Very well suited string for most of the work I would expect a P-Bass to do.

Its not a 2008 Jazz but it is a 99 MIA Jazz Dlx and I normally string it with Elixirs and if those aren't in stock I'll put D'addario Slowounds or XLs on her.
