I got a set of flats in a trade, and the guy who I got em from said he got the strings off a bass he got in a trade. They are stainless steel, I think, and they have black silk (it feels like felt actually, compared to silks on other strings) wraps on both sides. They are medium tension (way lower than the fender flats I also received) and they are pretty mellow and quite (when the fender flats are pretty bright and loud/clanky).
Thanks |

Do they look like they are sprinkled with pixie dust?

I cannot remember if it has silk on both ends though. I think they did. My guess is GHS or Lakland (same string).
