What are these strings?

These flatwounds were on my Mustang when I got it, and I really like the way they feel and sound, but I'd like to know what they are, so that I can have an extra set around if something happens to these.
They are strung-through the body (what - flatwounds?), and appear to be the exact right length for the bass, judging by the way the silks line up at the nut. They also seem a bit less stiff than the Rotosounds that I have on another short-scale bass, but that might be because the others are quite new. The sound is warm and fat and just what I hear in my head when I think about classic bass lines.
All of the strings that I've been interested in trying either warn against stringing through, or aren't available in short scale, or other stopping points, but I do like these strings. Anybody got any ideas?

What do the ball ends look like? I know D'Addario has blue silk on their Chromes, and I think (don't quote me on this) Rotosound has blue silk on one gauge of their flats... Hope this helps.

Going from just the pic, they look like D'Addario Chromes. If the ball-ends are different colors, then that's what they are...

Yes - every bit helps me to learn - thanks too to those who had some ideas to offer in my hijack of the LaBella thread!
Just plain brass at the ball end (at least, the part that I can see through the body - I haven't had them off of it yet).
The silks look dark blue in some light, a little purplish in others.

Chromes are a little lighter blue, aren't they? I'm thinking La Bellas, given that that is a short scale bass.
