what type of strings would i be looking for

what type/brand/gauges of strings would i be looking for , for regular fingering, slapping, and maybe some picking?

so in other words not too loose and not to tight..

im not sure what braind of strings i should get b.c this is my first change of strings

Hmmm....

can't go wrong with either rounds, grounds or flats from D'Addario, SIT, Dean Markley, DR, GHS, Smith, Rotosound, etc. Get either the stainless steel, nickel or tape wounds... they're pretty good




(you need to tell us more about what your style, your bass, who you like tone wise... more info the better).

oh and a medium to medium light nickel round might be a good starting point.

SIT Rock Brites

i have a p-bass..im looking for a classicrock/punkish style sound, but at the same time be able to have a deeper sound when i want.

or a kind of matt freeman sound.
if that is possible w/o a musicman........?
