What would be one step below DR Hi-Beams for brightness?

I have been using Hi-Beams for a a few years. I like them a lot. Lately though, I find I am turning the treble on my amp or preamp down a bit. I wonder if I should maybe try some new strings.

What would be one step down in brightness from the Hi-Beams I am currently using? Could be DR, could be another brand. I like 45 -125 gauge.

Thanks your input.

I found the Hi beams too bright - I use the fat beams on my 44-02

Lo-Riders or Fat Beams. Sunbeams if you like the tension of the Hi Beams.

Hi-beams are pretty much the brightest of the lot, so you could go with anything else.

Try a nickel string or a hex core. The coated strings (extra-life) are also slightly mellower.

Lo-riders all the way. MIM Jazz... Lo-riders... if you don't want as much hi end, then get the nickel ones. They are great!
