I just got a pack of Deans, and they're excellent. They completely blow Rotosounds out of the water. That, and they're a hell of a lot cheaper than Rotos or D'addarios (though I have never tried D'addarios).
I tried a set of D'Addarios a couple of months ago, just for something different. Bleh! They just didn't do it for me. Not nearly lively enough, just sounded lifeless (by comparison) right out of the package. I'll stick with my Blue Steels, thank you.

Hard Rockin Steels are great. I also like the LaBella Deep Talkin Steel Rounds.

I like the Elixir's. My hands sweat profusely and I must have some type of major acid that eats strings. I play gig two nights a week and practice another couple of nights so strings don't usually last long, but the Elixir's have stayed bright and feel great.

Before I tried the Elixirs, I liked the Ken Smith Prosteel and the Ernie Ball Steel strings...
