When did Dean Markley stop putting silk on their SuperRound strings???

Got the strings I ordered from juststrings.com...
Dean Markley SuperRound, and there is no silk on them.

Did Dean Markley stop putting silk on their strings??? How long ago did this happen?

I am disappoint.

Gahhhhhhh just got off the phone with their tech guy.... they brought a new guy in to do their bass strings... he changed the ball.... and no silks on Super Round strings.

I am very disappoint.

Hmm, maybe for customer support they might be willing to put some silk on a couple sets for you. Did you ask them?

No, I didn't ask. I will wait until I am less disappoint. I wish manufacturers would stop changing my bass strings, and golf balls. If it ain't broke.... leave it the hell alone.

Hmm. Maybe I'll try a set now. I don't know why, but I HATE silk on my strings. Stuff always sheds off and makes a mess of my headstock.

Ughhhhhh they have ruined my strings. these aren't the same as they used to be. They aren't the greyish stainless like they used to be. They are shiney and less coarse now.

Global ThermoNuclear Discombobulator is now armed, and I am keying in initiation sequence.
I am soooo disappoint.

I hate silks, you're better off without them. Changing the strings themselves, though? That sucks.

They haven't had silk for at least a year now, probably closer to 2 years. They were my "go to" strings before I switched to DR Fat Beams.
