When Putting strings on

Hey all, i was woundering, you know when your putting strings on, when you wind them round at the top of the nek is it best to have it so the string comes off the bottom or top....if you know what i mean

It's best if you wind it from top to bottom that way the string is as low as possible where it comes off the tuning peg and to the nut. To prevent buzzing and such.
