Help!

Been hemming & hawing on this for over a month now, & appear no closer to a decision. Soooo, figured I'd ask the experiences & opinions of the Great Bass Brotherhood.

I've a 5 string set of Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats & cannot make up my mind which bass to put them on.

Which one would you put them on &, please, why?

(Hopefully I can figure out how to post a poll

I'm not sure if JF are long enough for 35" scale basses, so I vote for the Fender. It's also the most traditional of these three - I suppose that you have rounds on other basses.

Reverse engineered from a 4 string set on another bass, & I might have to remove 1/4" of silk for the BTB or Lakland. But good point though; thanks!

Some rounds, but I'm usually playing Chromes these days.

The TI Jazz Flats should fit 35" no problem. Mine do...

Not sure which bass I'd try them on, though. The Lakland might do it for me. The Fender would probably be good, but it really depends on the Fender. I've played some that were nice and open sounding, and some that sounded quite flabby. Flats on an already flabby bass won't be any good.

They will string up just fine on a 35" scale as long as they don't go through the body.
