I'm puzzling over where my new TI Jazz-Flats should end up: On the Smith Burner, the Ibanez Roadstar/Mod, or the Peavey Dyna-Bass Unity.
The Smith has a 2+2 headstock, so if they go there then it's over for the basses with the 4-in-line headstocks. I currently have Chromes on the Smith. The Ibanez has the TIs, and the Peavey has D'Addario Nckel-Wound rounds.
I've tried the TIs on the Peavey, and now the Ibby. I like 'em on the Ibanez, they make a real difference there from the roundwounds that were on it- more acoustic and woody sounding, though a little less punchy it seems. On the Peavey they're a bit overwhelming, but they sound sweet on it as well. But I wonder if they'd really shine on the Smith?
Any of you guys have an informed opinion about where the TIs should end up? Don't want to switch 'em around too many times- breakage might really bum me out! Just thought I'd throw this around in public, thanks for your considered opinions!

I could be wrong, but my read from your post is that if you don't try them on the Smith, there'll be that "Hmmm . . . I wonder what they'd sound like . . . ." |

I'm a carpenter, and am supposed to be able to do that!
Thanks again!

I'll post again after I get an earful of the TIs on the Smitty.
