Hey! I just spent $40 on 2 packs of strings (Ernie Ball and Daddario) and turns out they are too short! So much for "long" scale, right? (35" scale here) Who else wants to take my money?
Or better yet, how do I tell if my strings will be long enough? |

There's a bass company that makes that "fanned fretboard" that has like a 36/7 length, there web site had good refs for long strings. I did a search on this forum and found it, do a search for super long stings or something.

| | | | 35" scale is long scale, not extra long. 36-37" is extra-long. Amirite? |

30" and below = short scale
32" = medium scale
34" = long scale
35"-39" = extra long scale (or apparently super long scale)
40" scale = where'd you get that bass? |

I bought some of those D'Addarios and some Ken Smiths (apparently 38" scale...) |

The regular DR's wiil fit.
