Who's tried OPTIMA Gold BASS Strings???

and, BTW, what gauge for a jazz/old rock tone..Now these are all of the way live, in case you haven't tried them, like on my twangstick I had a 9-42 set, and a pal of mine who was using the guitar version of these had 11-56, and his bent easier than mine! These are the MAX string. Like I ask, has anyone tried them?

I have them on my bass...

My new DP Custom Fretless has a set of Optima 24K roundwounds on it. Nice tone and very easy to play. The B string had to "settle" in a bit, but it's playing very well now.

I review the bass and talk about the strings in the thread entitled, "New 5-String Custom Bass" in this forum.

My old warmoth had a set of them on it. They look great and play great. The color doesn't wear off like the DR colored strings. I was always happy with them.
