just curious  i have a friend who plays them but i mean they are rough on the fingers, and are really zingy and clanky and guitar like i dont know why anyone would need anything other than flats, any ideas?

I actually bought some black nylon Rotosound Tru Bass 88's and am trying to figure out wich bass to put them on  I bet they'd sound great on a P. Wish I had one. |

| | | | Rounds are pretty versatile too. You can get somewhat SIMILAR to the flats sound with your EQ and a lighter playing style. I do't think you can really do that with flats. They don't hurt your fingers that much. I mean come on, we're bass players we already have calluses.

Sure i can Eq the hell out of my bass and amp and get something close but it is no where near the thump and fat bottom i get from flats ... I think my ti flats are very versatile.

If I want to sound muted and old school, I simply back off the treble knob. |

Play half rounds and you may change your views a bit.
Edit: Like starting a why anything more than 4 strings post. Nothing good EVER comes of it except a few trolls get clubbed.
