World's cheapest bass strings

Just got this in my e-mail this morning from Meritline. If you look at the bottom you will see that the $7.99 is for 6 SETS!!!!!

I just ordered a set and will see how they are. They have probably been sitting in some Chinese warehouse for the last 30 years. Oh well, worth a gamble at $8.

If they are anything like Fenders current offerings, you overpaid.

I see they also offer D'Addario's.

By the way what is a "Soft Gauge" string? LOL.

I like how guitar accessories falls under "home and decor" in their categorizing lol.

Why not? It's just $8...I might grab a capo or w/e from them to see how they are.

For $8, worth a shot. I could cut them down and use them on my short scale.

The first scratch/dent is always tough, but every one after that is added mojo.

Come on, fellas (and gals). At my age, for 6 sets, this could be the last bass strings that I will ever buy.

$8 for a set of bass strings is about what you'd pay for a budget brand set of acoustic guitar strings. I'd say it's worth a shot but don't get your hopes up. Quality is usually worth the price you pay for it. They're cheap for a reason.

Hey, before you open these strings up, check them on this website first. I've been informed that there are some counterfeit D'Addario's floating around that are going for really cheap prices. See, there's always a reason something's cheaper. Just sticking this out there.

I'm afraid you'll find that you'd have gotten more enjoyment from your $8 by simply setting it on fire.

D'Addario 45-100 used to be called Soft Gauge. I don't know when they switched to calling them light.

Why waste money on cheap strings made to try and be faked fender strings by folks who cant even be bothered with spell checker? Better to buy actual name brand strings. Or use the 8 bucks plus a couple to get a pizza. At least then your getting something with some value. lol.
