Would these fit?

Would a Thumb BO6 need adjustments before I throw on some DR black beauties?

I've never changed strings on it and the factory strings were Warwick Black Label strings, which have quite different dimensions. Which again is the source of my worry.

Thanks for all answers.

I would say you would just have to try it and see. Careful when installing the B string, I've heard of guys breaking the string at the saddle. If you notice, the Warwick BLs have a tapered B string. I think the saddle groove is the issue, (not wide enough). I think it would also depend on what gauge string it is. Are the DRs tapered?

Not sure about them being tapered or not, I haven't ordered them yet.

The gauge of the BBs are 030",045",065",085",105",125", while the BLs are 020-040-060-080-100-130

i just got my Thumb 6BO about 43 weeks ago. I'm not crazy about the BLs. They seems to grap my fingers. My bass teacher loves S I T rockbrites. I'm interested to try some flatwounds.

I got mine almost a year ago, and the BLs have worked well.

But I've really wanted to try the BBs for a while. But I don't wanna pay 47 euros for something that might not fit my bass.

If you search the string forum, there is a TB'er with a Warwick, think he was going to try some Sadowsky's, they're tapered.
