Yamaha roundwound steel little review

Sign in to disble this ad
So i bought a set of Yamaha roundwound steel strings (45-65-85-105) and installed them on my MIA Deluxe jazz. All strings, except the G, were installed on string-thru mode. I opted for top-load to the G because i already find .045 quite tight and the softer angle of the top-load would help to make it...softer

So I was afraid of the sound be overly bright but this didnt happen at all!! Beatiful, defined low-end even with the bridge pickup soloed. So yeah, they are quite good, my only complain is that they are harh to the fingers and can be hissy on slides. I hope the hiss will vanish with the time.
