Yer favorite roundwound?

What is your favorite roundwound? I'm going to setup my Deluxe P up with rounds and use it for rock. I need a punchy, long lasting string with a nice feel. Probally going to be in a medium to medium-high guage.

The luthier I take my basses to offers complete setups for 42 bucks with either Rotosounds or D'Addarios or setups for 28 if you can supply the strings. I've got a few MF gift certificates I can use up.

I've been thinking about Rotosounds because I really like the Rotosound flats he put on my J but I'm not quite sure what I'll do; help me make up my mind.

Thanks for your help,
ryan

The Roto's eat frets for breakfast, arent good on fingers ether come to think of it. Really though, its all personal preference. I like SR2000's, Blue Steels, and DR Sunbeams. Personally, Sunbeams are often overlooked, but IMHO are DR's best strings....
Basically you have a couple of questions to ask yourself
Oct. Core vs. Round core and,
Stainless vs. Nickel,
For what you want, sounds like a round-core stainless would work, such as Blue Steels or DR Highbeams.
Hope this gives some insight,

D'Addario regular lights (100-80-65-45) are bright and last long. The feel is okay - a bit rough if you move along the string, but perpendicular to it feels fine.
