Yet Another String Cut Short thread - advice sought - pic inside

Haven't strung this bass before or used Dunlops and I got cut happy. Of course the Dunlops don't seem to be sold in separates.

Here's a pic of the wrap at pitch:

Does this seem adequate? At this point I'm not going use them for gigs or rehearsal - just wanted to try the Dunlops out while I'm cleaning my DR's.

I've done that before. Swapping a set from one bass to another. It was fine for me. But I hated worrying about it all the time.
If your really worried about it you could get a different brand single?

Well it's moot now anyway - just ruined the D string by not paying attention. I love this Spector but man it sucks how the strings slip out of the bridge. I thought it was too long so I snipped some more only to realize the string was out of the bridge. I feel like a total amateur!
