Haha. For me, it's when my wife says she needs new flats. Always tempted to respond with "I like old flats better than new ones" :-D

Hmm. Sorta related:

I was at a gig last night. Two horn players in another band were talking and one said, "So, are we going to do the chicken tomorrow?"

I immediately thought of The Chicken -- the Pee Wee Ellis/Jaco tune. They were actually talking about getting together for chicken -- the kind you eat -- after practice. Given the circumstances, I think mine was the more natural assumption to make!
